JERSEY CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS
JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY
Based on prior successful work in Jersey City, HMR Architects was hired by the city for the restoration of the 1893 City Hall Council Chamber. Conservation work uncovered original hand painted stencil and other decorative painting schemes. Work currently underway includes restoration of woodwork and other finishes, installation of air conditioning, upgrading of lighting, and installation of a modern audio - visual system.
