After considering an addition to the historic Hartley Dodge Memorial Building, the Borough of Madison agreed to a new building on an adjacent site to accommodate their Fire and Police Departments. Working closely with both departments, HMR has designed a new building which thoroughly respects the surrounding architectural context of its prominent downtown site while responding to demanding programmatic and technological requirements.
