LAKESIDE LODGE
HAWLEY, PENNSYLVANIA
Situated in a forest, at the end of a long unpaved lane, and looking across and down a woodland lake, the site offered the possibility for expansion and reconfiguration of a small existing cottage to more closely suit the requirements of the very tall new Owner. The original building, built in the 1940’s, had small rooms and low door and window heads.
The main program was to provide a Lodge for the Owner’s family and guests consisting of a large central room, with bedrooms off to each side. The open kitchen lets the cooks, owners and guests enjoy both the view and the company of others.
